Case Study: Infrastructure Grading (JVC)

The Challenge

An infrastructure contractor working on internal roads in Jumeirah Village Circle needed sub-base grading and compaction finished ahead of an asphalt crew already booked for the following week — leaving no room for rework.

Our Approach

Phase 1: Cut & Fill to Design Levels

Our CAT 18 grader cut and filled the road corridor to the design cross-section, checked continuously against the civil drawings.

Phase 2: Sub-Base Compaction

Bomag single-drum rollers compacted the sub-base in layers to the specified Proctor density, with density checks between passes to catch any soft spots before they became a problem under asphalt.

Phase 3: Final Grade Check & Handover

A final grader pass and level survey confirmed the road bed was within tolerance for the asphalt team, and we handed over documentation covering every compaction test.

The Result

The sub-base was signed off and handed to the asphalt contractor two days early, with compaction records that satisfied both the client and Dubai Municipality inspection.
